So this is my blog. Basically, I’m a CrossFit Coach at CrossFit 718 in Brooklyn, NY, and I love every minute of it.
As a kid, I played baseball, hockey, and basketball. The thrill of competing in sports was something that I fell in love with early and never lost. As I got older, my passion for fitness never really left, but I focused myself on pursuing a career in music (jazz vibraphone, to be exact), and put fitness on the back burner. 15 years later, I have come full circle and returned to a life dedicated to health, fitness, and everything in between. I believe that we are all capable of much more than we realize, and once we are finally able to overcome our own minds and the roadblocks that we create ourselves, we can accomplish anything that we set our minds to.
I used to do the whole globo-gym gig, and then discovered triathlons, and trained solely in the endurance world for two years. After countless injuries and not seeing the kind of health gains that I thought I would, I was introduced to CrossFit through a couple of good friends, and I never looked back.
I have completed four triathlons, including the New York City Triathlon twice, and countless half-marathons, including one trail half-marathon. I completed the Warrior Dash in 2010, and have been accumulating Fitness certifications ever since:
CrossFit Level 1 Coach
KettleBell Concepts L1 Trainer
CrossFit Movement and Mobility Trainer
Concept 2 Rowing Instructor
I love health and fitness, and I really hope that I can inspire more people to get out there and start working out and start eating better. Eat meat! Eat veggies! Any exercise is better than no exercise, and CrossFit is better than most exercise. 😉 And remember, it’s never to late to start. You can do this!
Go Leafs Go!
